We are a small group of mud racing enthusiasts that are aiming to help promote and support mud racing across the nation. We travel all over the West coast to different mud races and take photos at the races as well as offer mud racing apparel. Additionally, we will help promote any race with poster designs and photos. Please send us an email with race dates and locations also a contact number for the specified venue for rules and regulations for participants and we will post your race on our web site for free!
Laura — Photographer/Author/Designer-Hi! My name's Laura, but everyone knows me as DirtyGirl! I'm the photographer at all of the venues we attend. I love mud racing and I love taking photos of mud racing. Additionally, I've been published in Mud Life Magazine and currently freelance for Long Haul Off-Road Magazine. Secondly, I am the major designer behind our itsamudthing.com line of clothing. My long-term goal is to see itsamudthing.com go nationwide so that any racer from anywhere can check our web site for races in their area. Currently, if you mud race, you have to check a lot of different web sites to find a race. We'd like to change that. We'd be happy to list any race anywhere on our web site for free and create a link to the affiliated web site. If you'd like more information, please feel free to drop me a line at laura@itsamudthing.com or call 208.731.1097.
Brian — Designer/Mud Bog Mechanic-Brian started out at 12 years old hooking the tethers to the open cars in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah. With over 20 years experience on the line, racing, and building custom mud boggers, he's an amazing source for information. Soon, we'll have an "ask the Motorhead" section where you can post your questions and Brian will be happy to answer them. Also, he does custom engine work and can even build a mud bogger from the ground up if that's your wish.
Jennifer — DirtyMom — Jennifer is my (DirtyGirl's) mom. My mom is gracious and kind enough to go with us to all of our venues and man our booth for us. Mom works long hours in a hot trailer selling our t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and other apparel. Thanks mom!
Carl Erickson — LilDad — Carl is Brian's dad. He's been racing over 20 years and currently drives Lil Camino, an El Camino, in the open class. Carl has traveled as far as Hawaii to mud race.
Jessey Erickson — Brian's younger brother-Jessey drives a Chevrolet Blazer and took first place in 2009 for the state of Idaho in the DIRT (Dirty Idaho Racing Toys) league. At 17, he's got more pit time than most people I know. He's definitely a force to be reckoned with and has a major future in racing.
Mark Jacaway — Mark drives a Chevrolet Blazer and runs in the MudModified and ProMud classes. Mark travels with us everywhere we go, or we travel with him everywhere he goes?
